Camp Cocoon Blue Ridge

United Hospice Blue Ridge hosted its first annual grief day camp for children ages 7-17 on March 17, 2012. The camp was held at Fannin County Park Recreation Center in Blue Ridge, GA. We had 18 campers participate in the camp. The camp was led by United Hospice staff and trained volunteers. Campers were divided into groups based on gender and age to participate in different activities that addressed grief in age-appropriate ways. Campers were provided with lunch. The day ended with a live butterfly release for campers and their parents/guardians.

Camp Cocoon Blue Ridge 2013 will be held in March 9, 2013.
